All three of my children began working with Mrs. Campbell when they were quite young. I had been looking for someone who could teach them phonics at an early age to give them an advantage when they began school. Mrs. Campbell did not have her Academy at that time but instead taught only small groups. I feel so lucky to have found her and my children flourished under her tutelage. Since this was over 20 years ago; I thought you would be interested in knowing how that head start served them! All three of my children graduated from Plano Senior High School with a 3.85 GPA or higher and are now in College or post graduate work. My oldest son, Austin, has just completed his second year of medical school at Univ. Texas Health Science San Antonio. Prior to that he graduated from SMU with a degree in Chemistry and several minors. He earned the Presidental Scholarship to attend SMU and was an honor's graduate. Hunter, my second son, scored a 1510 on the SAT (old scoring system) the summer before his 10th grade year. He was admitted to the Honors Business School at the University of Texas where he will graduate in 20 days from now! He was offered a terrific job with a financial institution as a junior and will begin that job July 5th of this year. The baby, Chandler, is in her freshman year of college in North Carolina where she is a scholarship athlete. Chandler is majoring in Biology with minors in Spanish and Chemistry. She hopes to follow Austin into the medical field. Not only is she carrying a 3.85 GPA but at the same time is the starting goalkeeper for her team which tied for second in their conference. Athletics and soccer have been her love and now they are sending her to college. My point in telling you all this is that your children are such sponges when young. They learn to love school, feel good about themselves and respect the staff and each other. With Mrs. Campbell and her staff supporting, loving, encouraging and teaching your children, the world is their oyster! I wholeheartedly recommend the Campbell Christian Academy and it's staff! This school offers an amazing opportunity for learning and results. My daughter was enrolled in the 8 week summer program. After the first week she knew how to write all her lower case letters, the sounds they made and how to write all her numbers. After the second week she was reading and doing addition by memory!! As a parent as well as an educator, I can honestly say Campbell Christian Academy is the "real deal." My son Harrison, age 4, began working with Mrs. Campbell and her daughter Kelly in June, and in this short eight week period, he has learned to write all 26 letters, give their names as well as their sounds, and he is beginning to sound out one syllable words. Before this experience, he had no interest in reading. He is now asking what different combinations of letters spell and he is wanting to read signs when we are out running errands and write “messages“ to anyone who will take one. In addition to the outstanding reading phonics training, he has learned to write the numbers through 10 and is now working on simple addition facts. These results are absolutely amazing, especially given this short amount of time! I couldn't be more pleased with his progress and his sense of accomplishment. I wanted to note to all of you how deeply impressed we are so far by your work with MacGregor.
He seems much happier, confident, calm and well rested since starting his two day a week sessions. I really believe you've restored his sense of confidence at school and Michael and I are truly so grateful. We see a difference now in his work sent home from Lamplighter (his letters are written correctly and short words are clearly legible) and his ability to enjoy it more, now that he feels he is competent as the rest of the kids. I am thrilled beyond words just to see him begin to grasp and master some words, his math-addition (which he loves) and most of all to regain his enthusiasm for trying. I know he isn't quite there yet on reading but as parents Michael and I feel far more connected, empowered and capable of helping him learn the basics. The more I see it, the more ingenious I think your reading system is. It's like he's learning to read without realizing he is learning to read. You've broken parts of words down into signposts he recognizes and remembers, in spite of himself!! So, I don't know when but I am now certain he will read in time and read well! I'm so glad we found you and hope we can find a way to stay all five years! No matter how long we stay, you've already helped MacGregor realize his own ability to be responsible and not only do his homework but do it well. You must get tired of all the letters from excited parents but I just had to let you know, and thank you again.

We enrolled our 5 year old son and 3 year old daughter in the tutorial program a month ago. After the second class I already saw a difference. My daughter who never learned to write, was already holding a pencil correctly and is now writing. My son who did not know all of his letters and sounds learned all of them by the third week. Our children love to take out their notebooks and practice. They really enjoy Ms. June and Ms. Kelly and attending the classes. We are very pleased with the CCA program!  Our three year old son started this past summer and the results have been wonderful.

After the very first day of summer classes, I asked him what he learned in school. Not expecting much because the classes are only an hour long and it was only the first day, our child, without hesitation, began to sound out about 5 - 7 letters that he learned that day. That was only the beginning.

Now after eight weeks of summer school and only 4 weeks of fall classes, he is reading simple words, and doing very well with his math facts. He is able to write letters and numbers legibly and is beginning to learn the Ten Commandments. My expectations have been exceeded. I am not sure how June and Kelly Campbell do what they do, but I am so happy that we are a part of this great gift that you're sharing.

WOW! What a year we are having! Our daughter, Kristen, is having an incredible experience (and therefore so are we) with the "Campbell way"! I am a former algebra teacher, so when Kristen's kindergarten teacher last year said that she was not reading at grade level, I knew I was not the right one to help her. I can teach math to older kids but not reading to younger kids. June has worked tirelessly with Kristen to unlock the door to reading. She is now "where she needs to be", according to her first grade teacher. Kristen improves with each lesson, and she is no longer afraid of reading and books. She is also developing a love for reading! We are so thankful to June for her gentle and upbeat nature. Every child should be so lucky to have a June Campbell in his or her life! We are also extremely grateful for "Miss" Kelly! Kristen really enjoys math, and Kelly makes it so fun and exciting. Mrs. Campbell is someone I admire and look up to. She not only taught me what I lacked academically, but also she taught me about life. This will be the second year our boys attend Campbell Christian Academy's summer program. In prior years we "took the summer off" from formal education. We soon realized this was not a good idea. The boys were forgetting what they had been taught and were struggling when school restarted in August. This time last year some friends suggested CCA's summer program. We were extremely pleased! Our children were very will prepared when school started in August. We believe the summer program gave them a head start in their grade level that carried them through Christmas. We as parents are not "formal" educators and have struggled with helping our children learn. CCA tells you clearly and concisely what your children need to learn and how they need to learn it. This has been a tremendous help to us as parents, allowing us to help teach our children.

The phonics approach has been very helpful and I remember this is how it was taught way back when I was his age. The back to basics approach to the math is also outstanding. June and Kelly have made such a positive impact on my girls. They thoroughly enjoy their time with these ladies. My girls now have the skills necessary to decode words and read for meaning. Campbell Christian Academy is an incredible school! The Campbell's approach education in a very thoughtful systematic way. It is similar to music education. You learn the notes and you build music from this foundation. After persistence, you can play a beautiful piece of music. There is nothing disjointed about the Campbell's curriculum.
At first, I was concerned about giving up the mornings that I was used to having Amanda in school. I went ahead and enrolled Amanda almost 2 years ago. It has been an enlightening, empowering and exciting adventure for all of us. We all love the school, the wonderful education and you can not ask for better teachers.
